Make Up Monday: September Glam Bag Review

It took me a while to get my Glam Bag from Ipsy for September but it was worth the wait. The theme was Classic Beauty. It basically had all the essentials every woman needs.

Product: Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Big Apple. (Full Size) Retail Price $19.00
This was one of my favorite items in the bag this month. The packaging is just like the Cailyn Gel Eye Liner so I was kind of thrown off at first. It says it’s a tinted lip balm but it goes on just like a stain. Once it’s on, it’s on all day. I love that it’s very pigmented and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Product: Chella Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace. Retail Price $18.00
As far as highlighters go I could pass on this one. It’s smooth and blends easily on my brow bone but other than that I didn’t like nor dislike it. I think I would have liked it if it was in a color that matched my skin tone.

Product: Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara in Black. (Sample) Retail Price $19.99 It’s been a long time since I’ve come across a mascara I like THIS much. My lashes show immediate length and volume with the first coat! The hourglass shaped wand makes sure each of my lashes are coated. This is a product I would purchase over and over again.

Product: Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil in Obsidian. (Full size) Retail Price $12.00
This was just your average run of the mill kohl eye pencil. There really was nothing special about it. This is actually the 4th black pencil I’ve gotten from Ipsy.

Product: NYX Single Eye Shadow in Hollywood aka Silver
Retail Price $4.50 NYX is a great company with quality products. This eye shadow works pretty well as long as you have a good base on. There is a lot of fall out due to the high amount of shimmer. I use NYX products on a regular basis so this was a good thing to get.

As an added extra included in the bag was a sample from Michelle Phan's new luxury cosmetics brand Em.  I haven't used it yet. I'm looking forward to using it. I have high expectations for anything that comes from Michelle.
