My Fav Natural Hair Care Products

I feel like I have to start this post with a disclaimer so here it goes: These products are what works best for my hair and may not work for you. I know some choose not to use products with certain ingredients and thats cool. To each their own. With that being said, it has been a whole year since a relaxer has touched my hair. I'm quite proud of that. However, I do miss the easy breeziness of relaxers. I decided to go back to my natural state because with relaxers I lack versatility and volume. Will I ever go back to relaxers? Who knows only time will tell. The biggest thing I have learned during this process is it's just hair. Have fun with it.

These Are The Products I Have Grown to Love
Shampoo & Conditioner: Herbal Essences Totally Twisted and OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco. After a lot of trial and error I have discovered these do not leave my hair dry and tangled after washing. These shampoos and conditioners make my hair so soft and manageable I don't see me using anything else for a while.

Moisturizers: Cantu Shea Butter is a a great product. It not only makes my hair really soft but it also smells amazing. However, I only use the Cantu Shea Butter if I'm all out of Hawaiian Silky. Words cannot describe how much I love this product. It's a little on the thick side so I mix it in a spray bottle with water and spray my hair once every two days. It is extremely moisturizing but not greasy. I thank my mom for introducing me to it.

Oils: To oil and seal my hair I always use organic Coconut Oil. Coconut oil works best for curly hair because it is the only oil that can actually penetrate the hair shaft nourishing it from the inside out.

Edge Control: Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges. Funny thing is this is now one of my favorite products even thou it doesn't do exactly as it says. It slicks my edges down for about 30 mins after that they become very soft and wavy. I like the look it gives my hair if I'm not rocking a really polished style. If you want something that will really lay your edges down this is not it but it does make my hair look nice and it smells really good.

Other than hair products styling is also important. Marley twists are the only protective style I can wear long term and not get bored. I absolutely love them and get a ton of compliments. The reason I love them so much is because I can wear them down for a casual look.

Or I can also wear them up in a bun if I'm going out and want something a little more tame. Either way, you can't go wrong with the Marley twists.

I hope something in this post was helpful to you. If you have any products you think are worth trying be sure to comment and let me know. I love trying new things.
