Cute Face Slim Waist

Thigh gaps and tiny waists are all the rave. While I can care less about a thigh gap I would LOVE to have a smaller waist especially after having a baby. For a while now I’ve been hearing a lot about waist training. What is that you ask? Basically you wear a corset to slim down your waist. Over a period of time the corset reshapes and molds your body into the much-coveted hourglass shape.

Is waist training the real deal in weight loss or is it just a trend? Some women swear by it and when looking at their before and after pictures with the corset on it does make a difference. However, I have yet to see an after picture without the waist trainer on.

Last week Kim Kardashian gave away the secret of her slim waist when she posted a picture of herself in her training corset on Instagram. I’m pretty sure it sent women everywhere into a corset buying frenzy. After all Kim’s body is bangin with or without it.

But before you run to your closet and grab one of your most fashionable corsets don’t bother. There are corsets for fashion and then there are corsets for waist training. An actual training corset is made with steel boning which is what helps reshape your body.

While I love the look that the corset gives I’m not too sure I can handle the discomfort. However, if I ever do give it a try you’ll be the first to know.

  1. I've been trying to figure out if I really want to try it. I've always wanted a smaller waist and unfortunately never had one. but there are some disadvantages to waist training. I've done my fair share of research on training corsets vs workout ones. And all though it seems like the corset gets better and quicker results there are also some very negative side effects that come along with it. I guess it depends on the person and how much they're willing to go through and sacrifice to have that hour glass figure and thin waist.

    1. I've got the work out one and I like it but like you said the results take longer. I know what you mean about negative side to it. In the reading that I've done it says some women use it for a short period of time to just slim down while others use it for a very long time and kind of abuse it to get extreme results.

  2. I do not recommend wearing them while gardening, country dancing, or anything else highly strenuous.
