Thigh gaps and tiny waists are all the rave. While I can care less about a thigh gap I would LOVE to have a smaller waist especially after having a baby. For a while now I’ve been hearing a lot about waist training. What is that you ask? Basically you wear a corset to slim down your waist. Over a period of time the corset reshapes and molds your body into the much-coveted hourglass shape.
Is waist training the real deal in weight loss or is it just a trend? Some women swear by it and when looking at their before and after pictures with the corset on it does make a difference. However, I have yet to see an after picture without the waist trainer on.
Last week Kim Kardashian gave away the secret of her slim waist when she posted a picture of herself in her training corset on Instagram. I’m pretty sure it sent women everywhere into a corset buying frenzy. After all Kim’s body is bangin with or without it.

But before you run to your closet and grab one of your most fashionable corsets don’t bother. There are corsets for fashion and then there are corsets for waist training. An actual training corset is made with steel boning which is what helps reshape your body.
While I love the look that the corset gives I’m not too sure I can handle the discomfort. However, if I ever do give it a try you’ll be the first to know.
