Blogtober 2014 DAY 7: Best/Worst Vacation

It's true what they say "Disney is the happiest place on earth." They left out one little group of people this isn't true for... pregnant ladies with raging hormones.

Day 7 of #Blogtober14 My Worst Vacation.
In all honesty I can't really call it my worst vacation. It just wasn't that awesome. We had a tradition for a long time that I'm hoping to start back next year. Every Mother's Day we would take a vacation to where ever I wanted to go. Back when we lived in Arizona my choice was easy, California! We would alternate between my favorite places Disneyland, Sea World or just any where in San Diego.

Mother's Day 2011 I was pregnant but didn't want that to stop anything. So off to Disneyland we went. Not realizing that while we were loading up the car with our bags my hormones were coming along for the ride as well. Everything my husband did pissed me off! Everything he wanted to do was the opposite of what I wanted. The kids were even divided. It was like our own little Disney Survivor episode. I literally wanted to smack him with my Minnie Mouse ears every hour on the hour the whole first day. It took dinner and a nap for me to realize he wasn't trying to be a jerk. I was just being a big baby.

I finally agreed that we didn't have to do the same thing. It was ok to split up for a little while because not everyone had the same interests. So while hubby and the big kids rode the Matterhorn the little girls and I took a visit to see Tinker Bell and the rest of the fairies. Then when I wanted to see the Aladdin show everyone was right there with me. All in all it worked out for the best when we learned to compromise as a family.  So while the start of the trip wasn't so awesome, the ending was perfect.

I'd love to go on a Disney vacation some day. I mean, what better place, than being at the happiest one - where every adult becomes a kid again :D
Glad you figured things out & got to enjoy your vacation.

  2. Oh goodness, poor girl. I am so sorry for you but yeah while we're preggers hormones go beyond cray cray. You'll just have to take another trip back to make up for the not so pleasant one.

    1. LOL It was still a nice time and we've been there before so it's ok. I just can't wait to go to Disney World now that we're on the east coast.
